Just a small thing, but if you look in the welcome-box (where you can find your username and PM info) you can now see a little... msn dude. It's either red or blue depending on your current setting.

Red guy means you're invisible, blue means your visible.

You can easily click on the little guy to change your status without having to go to your UserCP.

See the screenshot for a preview look.

[Interview] August 2008 Interview: BlueSabby
Aug 01, 2008 - 4:15 PM - by westwingwolf
This month's interview is different as I asked Blue and Sabby questions pertaining to how they got started and how they manage to work together. Enjoy this humorous interview from two of the board's favorite smut writers. Thank you ladies for your interest and taking the time to enlighten NS members. NC-17 Content Warning to a site provided later in the interview.

~ Mindy

Interview: BlueSabby

1) How and when did you first decide to write together?

Blue: Excellent question. I have no idea. You’ll find that, of the two of us, I am the one with no memory bank. I remember Sabby sending me a PM on one of my stories. I remember her asking if I needed a beta and, yeah, that’s about it. So, really, if y’all want good answers, she’ll have to be the one to provide them.

Sabby: Gee thanks. I don't think my memory bank is all that great either. I had to look up our first joint post to remember the rough timing of when we started writing together (Sometime in 2003). There was also something about Blue using a general idea from one of my stories for one of hers and after that we had an idea for a story and that's how Fencing Lessons came about and from there it just went downhill, right?

2) Do you know each other or have met in real life?

Sabby: We actually just met recently, while I was on a trip to the US. We spent a few days together and it was really cool. We didn’t exactly work on any of our stories while I was there. Even though, we did take notes for one that might or might not be posted sometime in the future.

Blue: And going with the theme of me not remembering anything, I don’t even remember what story that was. I remember doing that, but that’s about all. Yup, it was very surreal meeting but, thankfully, we got along in person.

(Two seconds later)

Blue: oh Halloween! right?

Sabby: yes

Blue: go me!

3) How do you write together? Meeting in person, instant messaging, or e-mail?

Blue: If it was in person you’d all be royally screwed. We use AIM to do so. Though, sometimes that also messes with our head and we want to throw our computers due to technical/stupid ass malfunctions. Sabby’ll write a few paragraphs and then I do. She’s usually Lex and I usually take Chloe. Then we fight over not being Clark and/or Lana if they’re lame in our story. There can be much whining and bartering when this occurs.

Sabby: Yepp, that's about it. The funny thing is that neither of us has a problem being original characters. It's really Clark and Lana that are the worst to work with. Or when there's more than 3 to 4 people in a scene. I remember back when we wrote Teen Spirit, we were about ready to give up the ghost because of the dinner scene that involved basically the entire cast plus original characters sitting around the table. It was horrible. I think we stopped and started about a bazillion times and yelled I give up! twice as many times.

Blue: Amen to that.

4) How do you decide who writes what? Or is the entire story written line by line or paragraph by paragraph more or less with each other’s input?

Sabby: There was a time when we switched back and forth between who was Lex and who was Chloe. But then somewhere down the line we just settled on our individual parts, because Blue writes a better Chloe than I do. If we wrote it line by line we'd never get anywhere I think. So we're working with the *Tag* principle. One writes a part with dialogue from their character’s perspective then literally tags the other for reaction and response. That way the dialogue stays mostly realistic, even though some conversations end up going in circles, like real conversations are sometimes prone to do.

Blue: Having each other’s input is also valuable during the writing process. For example, if Chloe and Lex have just had a fight in a previous scene and one of us is writing a line that might piss off the other character; we’ll usually run it by the other author. Because, most of the time, we’re not really up on writing knock down drag out fights over and over again. The reason that we *tag* each other is also so you don’t end up talking to yourself. So, while let’s say I’m Clark in Teen Lex, if there is a Chloe/Clark scene, Sabby will step in to make it more manageable and fun. *looks at response* I talk a lot.

5) How do you create the ideas for your stories? Does one of you think of the concept alone or do you build the story together?

Blue: It depends. There have been plenty of times that one of us has said, I have an idea, to the other. And based on how screwed we think we are with the multitude of stories we’re working on the other person starts going, NO, NO, NO, focus! Ok, that’s usually Sabby to me. :-)

But we both come up with story ideas and coming up with an idea can come back and bite you in the ass. For example, whenever we hit a snag in The Arrangement, Sabby will say, “Well, this one’s your fault.”

While one of us may come up with the idea, we both build on that idea. It would be kinda boring, for me, if it was just one of us steering the ship. And we’d crash.

Sabby: So we're on a ship now? I always thought of it more as a road trip in a jeep. And one of us will always go 'Hey, see that dirt road there that leads into the middle of nowhere, let's try it.' That's how our stories get their twists and turns and end up going off track for a bit before they return to their somewhat laid out path. It's happened in all of our stories. And I'm pretty sure it will continue to happen, 'cause as annoying as it can be trying to find the way back from off-road to on-road, it's also a lot of fun.

6) If one of you is adamantly for or against something, will the other agree or is it all or nothing?

Sabby: We beat each other bloody and the winner gets to decide.

Blue: Yup, that’s pretty much it. :-) There is actually usually a big discussion. And one of us will relent if the other is passionate about it OR we’ll work out a compromise. It really depends on how strongly one of us feels about doing or not doing something. Then we sing Kumbaya.

Sabby: That Kumbaya part is a total lie, because neither of us can sing. But yes, we actually do get into pretty heated discussions about stuff when we disagree and then it can happen that we just drop the story for a bit and get back to it to find a resolution later. The most interesting thing is that most our heated discussions have to do with the subject of sex. Does it happen or not happen? And why, or why not?

7) Do you believe that one of you is more apt for some writing aspect? I don’t want to start any fights, mostly because I’ll be killed by the board if you split up, but by this I mean does one of you prefer to write the dialogue while the other writes description or is it more 50/50?

Blue: Too late. We started to answer this question and then got into a fight and it’s o-v-e-r between us. I personally believe that Sabby is amazing at doing internal Lex. I love the way that she writes his thought process. Which is why, I think, I wanted to stop being Lex because she is so much better at it. She’s also much better at body positioning. So, when Lex and Chloe all are twisted up and you understand where their limbs are, thank her!

Sabby: LOL. That body positioning thing is actually the worst part. Sometimes it takes us minutes just to clarify where what is and how it is positioned. But that's what you have to deal with when you don't want them to have sex in missionary or sit straight at a table across from each other all of the time. I personally think my Lex isn't better than hers. In fact, I think I make things too difficult sometimes. But that's neither here nor there. Blue definitely has me beat for witty dialogue. Sometimes I stare at one of her lines and just think. 'Damn, now how am I gonna get out of that one without making Lex sound like a complete idiot?'

Blue: And here is where we degenerate to "No, you're better." "No, YOU'RE better."

Sabby: Bottom line, we just work great together and our strengths even out our weaknesses.

8) How do you decide the writing order of your stories? What if one of you wants to write one story and the other wants to write another?

Blue: This is a day to day issue. We can work on one story and be crazy enthusiastic about it for a week or two. And then we get sick of the story. Then I can love a story and want to work on it and it makes Sabby curl up into a ball and cry, or vice versa. Generally speaking, if there are more than three characters in an upcoming scene, I try and weasel my way out of it.

What happens is we say hello, ask what’s new and then say, “So, what now?” We then rule out things we aren’t in the mood for and then pick a story from the list of stuff we both want to work on. We’ve actually flipped coins before to decide.

Sabby: It doesn’t help that we’re both so indecisive most days. We also try to get the other to pick so we don’t have to. Like right now, I tried to foist it off on her, since she was explaining our daily process. Her very decisive answer to that request was: “hells to the no biznitch.” Which means after this interview we’ll probably have another fifteen minute discussion until we finally settle on one of our WIPs. It’s just a good thing we DO end up writing more times than not. Or things would never get updated.

9) What do you do if one of you is no longer interested in a story? How do you keep each other inspired?

Sabby: That's a problem we run into constantly. Like Blue said, we get into a story sometimes for a week or two and love working on it, but then we hit a snag, or get to a part we consider boring and it's all about the 'Blah! Meh! Do we have to?' This happens either to both of us on the same story, or individually and for different stories. We haven't found a cure all solution so far, which is why sometimes a story will lie around untouched for weeks, or months in the worst case scenario, while we work on other stories. If the story in question is already up on the board, we try to make each other work on it. Rah-Rahing and swinging of the virtual pom-poms gets involved a lot. But if we can't do it, we'll just cry uncle and let it rest until inspiration comes back.

Blue: Sabby pretty much covered it. Sometimes, we just have to suck it up and do it. Either because we feel the need to do it ourselves or the other one will lay a smackdown and force us to do it for our own good. Honestly, we are writing on so many stories that we can usually shirk our responsibility on one story for quite a long time.

10) Do you find it easier to write separately or as a pair?

Blue: I find it easier to write together. Or maybe that’s because I haven’t picked up a pen, so to speak, on my individual stories in I can’t remember how long that I can’t remember what it’s like working alone. It’s also nice to have another voice that makes you laugh when you’re writing. And someone to help make your writing better. *insert Sabby telling you that I’m dragging her way down*

Sabby: Liarface! She does not drag me down in any way. If anything she is the wind beneath my wings! LOL. Seriously, though. I agree that it's a lot easier to write together than alone. Because two half brains think better than one. I haven't really been working on any of my single stories either. At least not enough to actually finish them. Which is a very embarrassing subject that I don't like to talk about *looks away shiftily*. I think that especially the dialogue is a lot more realistic that way and it's just plain more fun.

11) How much (if any) research went into writing The Arrangement?

Blue: And now you get number 11 sucka

Sabby: Oh you are ever so lovely and nice. And for that I’ll make you start on whatever we write on today.

Blue: You can’t make me do anything. You ain’t that tough.

Sabby: I’ll show you tough, biznitch!....

Blue: whatevs at least my language isn't crazytalk

Sabby: Anyhow, some research definitely went into it. All internet based though because neither of us would actually go cram in the library to look up the history of BDSM or something like that. As far as the toys are concerned, they're usually out of our fantasy, but some we actually found on adult toy shops on the net. We read a few pages about the way Total Power Exchange works, but as Chloe and Lex's arrangement grew, it became more individual and thus we didn't rely on what sources say anymore.

Blue: *nods* We were a little concerned that someone would pipe up and tell us that we were all wrong. But that would have been cool and welcome. I think that we can get away with it because, I imagine, each arrangement differs enough that they all don't follow a particular script.

12) Who has the filthier mind, Blue or Sabby?

Blue: It really depends on the day. I’m sure Sabby will tell you me being that Arrangement was my idea as well as a few others that we’re dealing with at the moment. However, within Arrangement, she’s come up with *plenty* of stuff that never would have crossed my mind. I think we both also like coming up with new stuff that’s not been done in anything that we’ve read before in the same way. Sure, others have dealt with the issue of control between them but not in a story of such length.

Sabby: That's true. I've read maybe a couple of pieces that deal with a BDSM setting, one was slash though....I digress. As far as filthiness goes, I don't think one of us out-filths the other. We both know what kinks we get into (writing) and which ones we'd never touch with a ten foot pole. Within that range, we both keep coming up with stuff and we both think in terms of 'Okay, where haven't we done it yet, cause the car and the office are getting old.' There's a wonderful site out there: http://www.sexinfo101.com/sexualpositions.shtml which we are using at the moment to widen the repertoire of positions in our stories. So yeah, we're both equally depraved, I think.

13) What advice can you give to writers who want to do future collaborations?

Sabby: I’ve tried collaborating with others, but it usually didn’t work that great. I think it’s important to find someone who has a similar style and similar thoughts on key issues. Then you have to find out what works best for both of you. Like if you prefer writing in a Role-play style via instant messenger, or if you’d rather swap between chapters, or whatever floats your boat. If it doesn’t work at all, don’t force it, maybe it just wasn’t meant to be.

Blue: *nods* I agree. Who you're working with is key. That might sound stupid, but it's true. Thinking in the same way and, more crucially, having the same sense of humor, is what will dictate the success of a collaboration. I think it helps to actually like and respect your partner, too. That way, a disagreement about something isn't taken personally and instead as something that is needed to make a story better.

On another note, we'd like to take the time to thank everyone who reads our stuff and those who leave feedback, being that we're both awful at that. While the story drives our urge to write it's definitely egged on by the positive responses. And, even more so, when people feel strongly, whether good or bad, to something that we've written. Knowing that there are people who enjoy, and critically think, about what we do keeps us writing.

[Smallville] Chloe and Doomsday
Jul 24, 2008 - 4:23 PM - by Kit Merlot
I know that there are a lot of Chlark/Chlois fans who are upset at the idea of Chloe and a Doomsday romance, but I have to admit to feeling a little excited by the potential of it all.

Maybe it's because I didn't get to see enough Chlex in the 7 seasons of the show, but I can't wait to see what the writers have planned

I like the idea of Chloe being drawn to a man who is at her maturity level, and who can be suave and cool and a little mysterious and maybe even dangerous.

Of course, Chloe isn't Lana--she won't immediately fall for him but she will investigate him and maybe even be intrigued by him. I think this storyline has potential.

What do you guys think?

[Interview] July 2008 Interview: letia84
Jul 01, 2008 - 3:27 PM - by westwingwolf
Thank you to letia84 for taking the time to answers these questions and thank you for making us this awesome banner.

1) If you could visit any place at any time period, where would you go and what would you do?

I have always had an interest in going back to living during the reign of Elizabeth I in England. I’m sure it would have been a great time to live during the deemed Golden Age but knowing me I would be burned or beheaded for being a loud mouth.

2) Have you ever met anyone famous?

I wouldn’t say I have met them but I have sighted some people from TV. Recently I had interaction with Amy Jo Johnson; better know as Felicity’s roommate or the Pink Ranger. Her friends asked me and my husband about a table in bar we were in and then she appeared to sit with them. The other sighting was when I lived in DC. I saw the nurse Haleh Adams played by Yvette Freeman from ER.

I didn’t say anything I assumed these people weren’t looking for someone to spot them so I let them be. If it were MR then I might have jumped on him but who knows when I’ll meet him.

3) If you could meet any famous person, alive or dead, who would it be and what would you say/do?

Talk about impossible questions. I guess being the scientist I would like to meet Rosalind Franklin. I’d like to ask her how she feels about being scooped by two lazy men that stole from her in the discovery of the structure of DNA.

4) If you could switch lives with any person, who would you choose and why? If you want to switch with a person who is dead, we’ll assume that you wanted to live their life while he/she was alive.

Maybe I wouldn’t want to switch lives so much as shadow some else’s life. I’d like to shadow one of my great grandmothers. I was lucky enough to know them as a child but as I got older they got older so their deteriorating health didn’t allow me the chance to ask them about their lives. They both lived well into their 90’s (one 91 the other 101). I would have loved to see how life was for them. It would be great to get a sense of the time they lived in being an African American woman and getting married before either of them turned seventeen.

5) Who is your favorite author, alive or dead, and why?

Honestly I don’t really have one. I read whatever pops up. When I was in high school I use to read James Patterson novels. They were a quick reads and gave me something to do after school. Other then that, I have never constantly read one author’s works.

I'm a book whore; I jump around a lot. Currently as for scientific stuff I’m reading I enjoy papers from Eric Baehrecke’s lab. It’s right along with what I’m working on and it’s really helpful for my research. I’m also a big nerd.

6) What is your favorite book and why?

I have always liked The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. I wrote a poem about it after I first read it. It was one of the first poems that I allowed to be read by others since it was published in my elementary school’s newsletter. I guess I saw how it felt to be an outcast because of your station in life but being able to still have a tight family to keep you strong.

One book that I hated and now I think fondly of is Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. I hated it when I was reading it in college afterwards I read it again and I enjoyed. All her whining made me so mad and then her demise made me smile. Then I thought about it and how hard it was for a woman in that time. She was raised to think that the finer things in life were what a woman had to have. Her affair and every action are all just a cry for freedom. Then again she went about everything so selfishly how could you love her character.

I have also repeated Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding. I think there is a little Bridget in us all if we like it or not. The book makes me laugh out loud.

7) Who is your favorite singer, alive or dead, and why?

Stevie Wonder. Okay you may laugh at some of his work in the 80’s but look back at the work he did in the 60’s and 70’s. He is truly a great musician. His love ballads are classic and he has some really soulful fun tracks I love.

8) What is your favorite song and why?

Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough by Michael Jackson. I think people over look Michael’s album “Off the Wall” because it was followed up by Thriller. I have to dance when I hear it and those are some pretty sexy lyrics.

Touch me and I feel on fire
Ain't nothin', like a love desire (ooh)
I'm melting, (I'm melting now) like hot candle wax
Sensation (ah sensation) lovely where we're at (ooh)
So let love, take us through the hours
I won't be complanin' 'Cause this is, love power (ooh)

9) What is your favorite movie and why?

I have so many but so here are the top five.

1. The Princess Bride. I know it by heart. I laugh no matter how many times I have seen. Who doesn’t love a tale of romance and true love?

2. Clue. How can you not love a good murder mystery with multiple endings? I laugh louder then I should every time I hear Mrs. White admitting she killed the maid. “Yes, I did it, I killed Yvette. I hated her, so much... That... it... it... flam - flames. Flames, on the side of my face, heaving... breath - , heaving breaths. Heaving breath...”

3. The Color Purple. Darn it I should put that on the book list. The story has always touched me. I love the strength of Sophia then counter to that is how that strength puts her in the worse of all places. One of my favorite lines “I loves Harpo, God knows I do. But I'll kill him dead 'fo I let him beat me.”

4. Valmont. Colin Firth is ever so hot in that movie. There are a couple versions of this one but this one stands out as the favorite to me. A twisted tale of sex and scandal is always fun to watch.

5. Matrix. Its sequels I personally hate but the first movie I can watch over and over and enjoy the effects never feeling like they are dated.

10) What is your favorite television show and why?

I would have to say Buffy the Vampire the Slayer. It’s the first set of TV on DVD that I ever brought. I can’t get enough Buffy. Even when things didn’t go the way I wanted I still enjoyed the show. Humor and drama all in one. It kept me interested while moving the story along. There were the filler episodes but there was something always in there pushing forward the central arc of season. The show even has a spin off that I enjoyed.

Second up to that would have to be The Cosby Show. Nothing wrong with the Huxtables. I grew up with that show. Again another spin off show that I enjoyed. A Different World was a great show.

11) Who is your favorite actor/actress, alive or dead, and why?

I really enjoy Winona Ryder. Whenever I think of her it’s when I was younger (I say that like I’m old). I look back at Beetle Juice, Heathers, Great Balls of Fire!, Edward Scissorhands, Mermaids or Reality Bits and I really enjoyed these movies when I was younger; what am I saying, I still do. Some of her later work is in question like Autumn in New York. I always enjoy her in movies unless the storyline is so far gone. How could I possibly like Alien: Resurrection?

12) What is the one movie/television show that you would never admit to family, friends, co-workers that you watch? Yes, I know asking defeats the point, but spill your guts anyway.

I watch The Hills. Don’t ask me why but I watch it. I look at it online. There is one person that knows but that’s because she watches it too. I could care less what happens to Lauren Conrad unless MTV catches it on film. It makes me laugh.

13) Do people in your Real Life know that you are a member of NS?

The only person that knows is my husband.

14) Do people in your Real Life know that you read/write fanfiction?

Again just the man I married.

15) When did you first start reading fanfiction?

I noticed a vid that went with a fic by another woman you all know Zannie and I checked out her site and read Lessons in Seduction. I don’t think I ever stopped reading. There had to be more fic out there so I went to KryptonSite but it wasn’t what I was looking for. They had there Clex , Clana, Chlark but there was little to no Chlex. So through tired–eye and I saw N~S I think I started reading and reading. I couldn’t get enough Chlex.

16) When did you first get started in writing fanfiction?

I had an idea about extending Chloe’s role from “Rush” I hate that story now. I want to fix it but I never do.

17) Is fanfic writing just a hobby for you or do you hope to go further with your writing?

This is a hobby. I’m a scientist. If I write anything that will be published it will be all about science.

18) When you aren’t writing awesome fanfics, what do you do and/or want to be doing?

If it’s any time I’m not in the lab; as my location states then I’m making fan art. I think I’m starting to come into my own but I want to expand what I know on that front as well. I see other people’s work on live journal and I’m like darn it why can’t I do that.

19) How and why did you first get interested in Chlex? What do you like most about the characters? What do you hate about them?

I never really gave SV much thought season one. I was kind of like oh great another superhero show they try to shove down your throat like Birds of Prey (which I may rag on but for some reason I watched anyway). I didn’t watch SV until very late season two. I think it was “Rush” that I saw and I was like damn I love AMack she’s great. So I started to look at a few episodes here and there and the more I looked the better MR started to look to me. Suddenly I was watching the show every week. Season three was one of the best. It was the peak of the show for me.

I have always been a BVtS and Angel girl so I was into vidders. I was watching all these Buffy vids and right around the time I got into SV heavy I saw a website by this woman you all know Becky. I watched some of her first vids and I was like that’s cool then I checked out her new site tired –eye and I was done for.

What did it for me were these two great actors. They are why I started to tune in each week. I love their characters. I love that Lex is a very tragic character. He’s searching for something that he never had growing up or found as man in the world. He finds that thing in Clark but it’s all wrong. All the lies just put him back where he started as a kid. The choices he’s forced to make and the slow blur between what’s for the greater good and what’s just bad. I adore Chloe as well. I get we should feel so sorry for Lana about her parents becoming pancakes but I always looked to Chloe with my sympathy. Her strength an ability to hold her own with any character on the show even though she’s not canon is something I love.

I hate how the writers make Lex out to be helpless when it comes to Lana. I could have seen it all make sense that he was with Lana as a means to complete his search for things that have always eluded him in life. It was something I hoped Lex would find that having Lana didn’t make his life any better; in fact it made it worse because of her lies. I wanted it to be another point in which he sees so much good in someone but finds it was just in his mind and he can’t trust anyone but him self.

I hate the way they have yet to let Chloe move on from Clark. I know they forced her on to Jimmy but they still make Mack make those sad faces whenever Clark is saying something about loving Lana. It’s hard for me to see her still so focused on a man that is not worthy of her. Clark will always be apart of her life but as a friend that saves the world from time to time with her help. Chloe deserves better then someone that can’t see Lana’s faults. I would love for the writers to let her see a man smart enough to do that. Sorry in this case Lex can’t so he wouldn’t be the man for her.

20) How and why did you first get interested in writing Chlex fanfiction?

I had an idea so I wrote it. It took forever to post it but I did and it went over well so it made me want to do more.

21) Is there anything while reading Chlex fanfiction that you really like/hate?

Not really any thing I hate. If a story isn’t my cup of tea I stop reading it. If I have to say something I guess it would be stories with just dialogue. I need some description as to the surroundings and state of characters as they speak.

There are plenty of things out there I like. As I stated before I like description. I love it when Chloe is chasing after Lex instead of the other way around. She has to knock him in the head sometimes for him to see what’s right in front of him. I like angst but I demand happy endings. I think both of them need a happy ending. It doesn’t have to be perfect with a bow kind of ending but at least let there be some hope. So maybe I like hopeful endings. I really enjoy long stories with lots of twist and turns.

22) What (if any) other fandoms do you read/write for and why?

I have one crossover story out there from Supernatural that has a part two that’s a WIP (yes I will update that one soon). Other then that I haven’t written any other fandom.

23) What type of environment do you need to write? For example: extreme quiet, blaring music, subtle background noise, etc.

It’s normally late at night with music. I listen to a song over and over that I think is inspiring the chapter I’m working on. If no music is playing the TV is on but I’m not watching it. I use to just to have noise in background.

24) How do your ideas come to you? Do you always write them or do you let them disappear?

If I have any idea it’s after thinking about something that has happened on the show that would make the plot line better. Most of my work draws from the end of season three when Chlex were still talking to each other. I also think of lot of AU stuff that draws on who Chloe and Lex are on the show but in a different setting.

25) Do you plan a story from the beginning to end or start with an idea and let the chapters come to you as they do?

I start with a beginning and an end. The middle changes as I go on. I’m not big on outlines. Most of the time, I talk out the story in my head or aloud. That’s mostly how the dialogue comes out. Its silly but it helps to talk it out.

26) Do you ever input certain aspects about yourself into the lives of Chloe and Lex? For example: Do you have Chloe listen to your favorite song or have Lex watch your favorite movie?

Sure I put in little things that I like. I put in the game Set recently. I also added some music to “Water Runs Dry” and “If Looks Could Kill” that I like. I also send them to places I want to live in. I’m always thinking of moving to New York and possibly spending some time in Japan.

Mostly I just make them say things I wish they would say on the show. I have Chloe tell Clark off. I let Lex express some emotion that I would think he finds genuine. I let Lana die or fade so far into the background she doesn’t exist.

27) Do you associate your writing with any songs even if it isn’t a songfic?

Sure. Music is a big part of it.

28) Do you prefer writing easy, quick stories or long, layered stories?

I guess some where in the middle. If by long you mean 30 plus chapters, that’s a not for me. About 10 to 20 parts is a good length for me. Its let’s me get out everything I want in the story.

29) Which do you find easier to write: dialogue or description or are they equally hard/easy?

It’s all hard. I start with a place I want them to be in. What they look like. What state of mind they are in. Then I lay down the skeleton as I call it of what they are going to say. Then I fill that in with the descriptive meat.

30) Is there anything that you won’t write or feel uncomfortable writing?

This answer is all about smut. I wonder why? I couldn’t write slash. I don’t know enough about males getting it on to do that. As far as slash for Chloe I guess I don’t see her as a lesbian but what if she was... sorry I’m back. I don’t think I see her that way and whenever I stumble upon it they have her being topped by Lana and I fu*king hate that. I guess I couldn’t write them with multiple people at the same time. I couldn’t see Lex wanting to share. I don’t mind reading these stories if there good but there not in me.

I have been thinking of story about Chloe being attacked and Lex helping her though it but its still in the do I think I can do this stage. It would have some graphic violence in it. I think it would be really hard to pull off but we shall see once some of my other stuff has wrapped if I can.

31) What do you do to cure writer’s block? What advice can you give to new writers who might be scared to post their stories?

I just write something. Anything. If it turns out that I hate it then I just keep going till I get to a point were I like it. I also talk it out more (no I’m not crazy talking to my self in front of my lab top). This is what really breaks it for me.

For other writers that are scared to post let someone read it first. I didn’t do that at first but now lj715 has been doing that for me and I think it’s a great help (thank you lj715). Have them tell you what they like and what they didn’t and also let them check out your grammar (sorry I suck at it and I also have a reading disorder so I miss things every now and then so once again thanks to lj715)

32) Have you ever read someone else’s fanfic and wished you thought of the idea first?

Of course. But I know I wouldn’t do a great job like they did.

33) Have you ever wanted someone else to write your story idea?

No, my ideas are all mine. Just kidding but if I have an idea I want to let it flow my self. If I can’t let if flow then I’d post in the challenge thread or let it fly.

34) Are reviews vital to keep you writing or will you finish a story even if you aren’t certain people are reading?

I guess if something was getting no reviews then I would drop it. I always see more views then replies. That goes along with people lurking. If you didn’t like it I guess I could see people not post anything and if you do post your dislike that’s fine. If you think it was okay say so. I can take it. Saying nothing makes it hard to see if your idea is something people want to read. I’ll finish as long as I know people are checking it out. I haven’t had a case yet where no one is reading that I would need to stop a story.

35) Have you ever had a review that made you think something about your story that you never thought of before? Has a review ever made you want to make a major change to your story?

Yes, someone thought I was letting Chloe go to Lex easily. So I rethought the next chapter. I also like to see what is brewing in somethingeasy. She’s long winded but she gets where I am going in a chapter. It’s like she’s in my head its creepy and refreshing.

36) How badly do you want to write for Smallville or at least rewrite some of the seasons?

If someone would let me write a screenplay I would love to. In no way do I think it’s easy. Often I want things on shows to go another way but there is so much that goes into it. If I had good advisors and support I would love to do it.

37) Do you see Chloe and Lex or other Smallville characters in different television shows or movies? Meaning, do you watch a movie like Star Wars and start thinking that Lex is just like Han Solo?

I don’t really see a movie and think MR and AMack would be great here. I do think they have great range and could do something else.

MR keeps trapping him self in comedies I think show off him being his silly self but don’t really display his acting chops. I really want him to do a quirky film. Like Being John Malkovich or Thank You for Smoking. Something that has some humor in it but still a dramatic plot. For AMack I think I see her in romantic comedies or doing really dramatic roles that portray strong women.

38) What do you think AM and MR would say about your fics if they read them? How would you feel if someone from the show did read your writings?

I think they would say that’s interesting and the fans are very creative but crazy. I guess a little nervous if any of them read it. I do slam TW, ED, KK a bit so it might be a blow to them that there is someone who doesn’t think they piss excellence on the show. If they thought a certain idea was cool that would be nice.

39) If you could have any super power, what would it be and why? Would you use it for good or evil?

My super power has always been telekinesis. I think the possibilities are endless if you can use your mind that way. Runner up to that would be controlling the weather like Strom.

I guess I’d want to be evil. Evil seems to be having so much more fun but they always get burned in the end so I’d want to win. If had to be evil then I want to be the kind of evil that sees the error of my ways thanks to the hero and I turn over a new leaf.
